Marty Johnson

 

Marty Johnson is a comedy writer/performer.  She is one half of the sketch duo, Somebody's in the Doghouse with Leah Gotcsik. Doghouse's last revue ran for 7 months at the UCB NY Theatre and was selected two years running for the Friars Club national Sketch Competition Showcase. They have appeared at competitive festivals around the country. She was a writer for Vanity Project, a weekly sketch show that aired on WCVB and was nominated for a New England Emmy Award.
 
Her past projects include work on multiple documentary films for PBS, NBC, copywriting and writing/producing political satire for FlackCheck.org, where her writing garnered a Telly Award. She co-wrote a sitcom pilot for NBC Universal and co-created two independent pilots, both which were selections of the New York Television Festival and one of which won Best Film in the NBC Short Cuts Film Festival. Her short films have been selections of the LA Comedy Shorts, Austin Film Festival and others.
