LEVEL 1 - An introduction to improvisational techniques and skills. An emphasis is placed on working in a group, working with a scene partner and basic scene work.
LEVEL 2 - Level 2 explores and heightens the concepts and ideas introduced in Level 1. Emphasis is placed on developing a point of view on stage.
LEVEL 3 - During this session, students explore different methods to create and define a character. Techniques will be taught to develop a series of characters for use in scene work.
LEVEL 4 This level focuses on scene structure: defining the beginning, middle and ending of scenes, finding the game with your scene partner and different ways to manipulate the energy of a scene.
Students work to identify their strengths and to continue to broaden their range with a focus on workshopping performance structures.
In this final session, students are paired with a director to create a culminating original comedy revue open to the public at the end of the level.
No classes being offered at this time. Please check back in the fall for updates.
Please note that each level builds off of the prior one. Students must begin at Level 1 and pass in order to be able to register for Level 2 and so on.
