Boston’s improv & stand-up worlds are joining together to honor all of the First Responders’ from last month’s Boston Marathon tragedy. Improv Asylum and Nick’s Comedy Stop are partnering to offer free tickets to the First Responders in the Boston-area. Simply show up in uniform or present your work ID and get in FREE on Wednesdays at Improv Asylum and on Thursdays at Nick’s Comedy Stop. It’s just our small way of saying a big ‘thank you.’

Seriously, Improv Asylum will LITERALLY take ANY gift card, from ANY company, for ANY product in exchange for tickets to Wednesday & Sunday night*or Saturday matinee performances.  All you need to do is show up with your gift card, let us know the value and we will give you the value in tickets. And if you don't have the exact amount? No worries. Improv Asylum will round up to the nearest amount, so if you only have a $25 gift card, but two tickets are $30, then we'll set you up with the two tickets.

Fear of Swimming on Sale Now!
Improv Asylum’s own Kirsten Opstad releases her debut full-length studio album Fear of Swimming. With the release of this album, she’s combining her songwriting talent and musical ability with her experience performing comedy every weekend year-round. Recorded in eight days at Interstellar Studios in California, Fear of Swimming reveals an impressive range in tone tied together by earnest lyricism and understated arrangement.
The album was funded by a successful Kickstarter campaign, which raised over $5,000 in 20 days in October 2011. In March, she’s launching a month-long national tour to support the release.
